Review: This book is a continuation of Thomas and his friends trying figure out the mystery of WICKED. I would say that my feelings about this book are very mixed. For about the first 150 pages I was very interested and into the book, but after that it just went downhill. First, I didn't really enjoy the plot of this book. I didn't agree with most of the choices that Thomas made. There was a point in the book when Thomas was presented the opportunity to find out everything about WICKED and why things were the way they were, and Thomas withdrew. I felt that he was more concerned with his own personal issues than with the bigger picture a lot of the time and that really bothered me. Most of the characters were developed really well. Newt was my favorite character, even though his story was tragic. I loved Minho all the way through these books, his humor is great and I felt like I knew him. For me, I was disappointed with Thomas. In The Maze Runner I loved Thomas and I understood him, but somewhere in the second book I stopped understanding his decisions. As far as the writing, I thought it was really good. The book was very fast paced and it was nice that the author didn't spend to much time on any one event. The chapters were very short and that made it feel like you are flying through the book. Overall, I did enjoy this book but there were many points were I was disappointed.
Rating: I give this book a 3/5 stars.
